Barcelona - late August. A beautiful park in which we took a walk during the visit.

Parc Güell, Barcelona - late August. Another beautiful park we took a walk in. A famous Catalan architect, Antoni Gaudí, designed it. It's very Modernist.

Answer to an Unuttered Prayer

Anyone who's traveled and seen beautiful places and misses them will know why last Sunday the 4th's afternoon/evening was so special to me, especially once he/she gets to see the pictures. What a blessing it was, after the somewhat melancholic morning I spent working on my Research Project after the Sunday service! Missing the faraway places and longing to be there knowing it to be impossible and then having a beauty-soaked afternoon was so refreshing! God listens to us even when we don't actually pray for what we wish.

I will add that besides being able to go somewhere beautiful and being able to take {quite} good photographs, I was able to spend a lovely time with my family while, at the same time, I skated, which is something I've been wanting to do for a long time. I can't really express how special Sunday afternoon was! A real, true blessing.

Sunrise

Somehow, last tuesday I convinced my sister and her best friend to wake up at six a.m. and come with me to take pictures of the sunrise. They agreed!
It was wonderful. Quite amazing. We walked up a wooded hill in the darkness, almost killing ourselves at least twice. The trees were very thick, and the rocks kept slipping under our feet. If you add darkness to it, you've the perfect recipe for disaster. Thankfully, three of the ingredients consisted of us three girls; therefore the recipe for disaster was ruined. Hehe.
In any case, the resulting pictures were quite satisfactory. They're not perfect, but they are very pretty. See for yourselves. :)

I really enjoyed the experience, so maybe I'll repeat it someday. ^^

While I was in Madrid last November I was able to sneakily take some pictures of baby Harold while he was sleeping. Fue una oportunidad genial poder sacarle fotos, ya que el bebito ha salido muy bien. ¡Es un encanto! ¡Se le veía tan precioso mientras dormía!*-*

He looked so peaceful while he slept... ¡tan relajado!

Sé que es la foto típica que una saca a un bebito, pero la verdad es que el pequeño tenía una manita preciosa.

Seagulls

Some days ago I took a trip to Barcelona. While waiting to catch the train back home, I spent about an hour outside Maremagnum, taking pictures of the amazingly abundant seagulls. Here you have a few.

They were so bold! I had to actually walk up to them and try to kick them (without really doing it, of course!), for them to take off. Otherwise they would just stand there and stare at me. Cheeky things.

I like the contrast of activity in this picture.

I know they are known for their bad moods and aggressivity, but they do have a certain something that makes me admire them. I had fun taking these pictures of them, and they were certainly interesting to watch.

Albarracín

When on holidays a week ago, our parents took us to a small, old village in the middle of nowhere named Albarracín. I took this picture when on the top of the small hill that is right by its side. It's a beautiful place...

I really enjoyed spending the day there.
Oh, and by the way, I almost killed myself climbing up the hill. It was an experience, though.

Monkeyth

When in Holland last June I had the opportunity to visit a "Monkey Farm" with my camera. I was so excited about this experience! The monkeys were loose around the park, except the bigger and wilder ones, and it was so funny to watch them walk around your feet and stare at your with their beady, shiny eyes.

Here are a few pictures I took over there. They are unedited, not cropped, just out of the memory card, so I doubt they'll be perfect. :P

It was cold. It was wet. The sky was grey, but the plants were green. I really like this picture. I took it during the Helvoirt Conferentie. That was an awesome time. I really enjoyed my three days there.

Old Treasure Box

I have several folders that are just staying there on my Desktop without my looking into them. I did once choose pictures (which to keep and which to erase), but after that the poor pictures have just been staying there waiting for me. I must say my pictures are very patient with me.

Anyway, looking in the old treasure box, I found these pictures I took on our December retreat last 2010. They're not particularly brilliant, but they have a something that I like. :) Hope you like them, too.

Many people have commented about this picture previously shown on other places. I hope you all like it too. :) A friend of mine and I had some good fun trying to put that scarf on. That me on the pic.

Personally I'm very happy with this picture. Besides, the guy with the ball is a very good friend of mine.

I have been terrible at keeping up with my photo blog. Not that I haven't been taking pictures lately... I have, but I haven't had time to look through them and post some on my blog.
So here's one I've just found nosing around. Hope you like it!

Sorry, I had to work with 1600 ISO, thus the noisy quality of the pic. I still think it was quite a striking phenomenon.

Dust Isn't Always An Enemy

This post somewhat embarrasses me [blushing grin]. But... it's not entirely my fault. I do dust often, honest! But when you live where I live, it's to no avail. Check it out yourselves. ;)

Now, on a more serious hand, please tell me if finding a dusty pattern wasn't worth it! I personally like the outcome of these pictures very, very much.

I tried this one with a border. What do you think?

Valley Sunsets

Even though I've travelled all over the place, I still haven't seen a place with such beautiful sunsets as where I live. On top of a mountain, overseeing a beautiful, rich valley with plenty of vineyards, one can get beautiful pictures of beautiful sunsets. Check it out. ^^
